Unlike many other games, Poker does not require a set number of participants. Typically, players use poker chips. The chips may be any color, but the dealer assigns a specific value to them before the game begins. Before the game begins, players exchange their cash for their chip values. After each hand, the dealer deals a new set of cards to the players. The dealer then shuffles the cards. During the hand, a player may bet with their best hand, or they may “bluff” by betting they do not have a good hand and thus winning the game.

The first dealer deals cards to the players, one at a time. The dealer usually rotates among the players. The buck, or dealer button, indicates the nominal dealer and determines the order in which the cards are dealt to the players. After each hand, the dealer deals the last card to the player who placed the bet. The dealer must then offer the shuffled deck to the next player. As the game continues, players may decide to fold their cards and pass them to the dealer.

Betting is conducted between each player, and at the end of each round, the winning player takes the pot. The pot is the amount of money that each player has bet before the game starts. During each betting interval, the player with the highest chip count wins the pot. The pot is the winning pot for the game. In poker, the winning player receives the entire pot. Once the betting has finished, the winner will receive the entire amount of money in the pot.
