The bets are gathered at the end of the round and the winning player is the one who takes the pot. The final round of betting is the showdown. If there are more than one player in contention, a tie is broken by the highest unmatched fifth card.

The lowest possible hand in poker is a 7-5-4-3-2. Two or more suits are treated the same. The highest possible hand is a straight, a flush, or a five of a kind.
